Dave Manning, nature writer, photographer, and birder for over 60 years, fell in love with vultures at age 65 when he stumbled upon a small turkey vulture chick peeking out of its nest cave. He observed the turkey vulture nest site from mating to migration and became fascinated with these birds. 

Dave lives on Pender Island and has made observations throughout Pender and Saturna Islands. Hear Dave talk about his turkey vulture experiences and learn about their habits and migration patterns. Dave’s book, The Old Man and the Vultures will be available for sale.
