Celebrate world orca day at East Point Park

Join us for an afternoon of fun, learning, and appreciation for the incredible whales of the Salish Sea!

Activities include:
• Meet the Researchers. Chat with whale scientists from SFU’s School of Environmental Science
• Orca Talks & Whale Trail Tour. Join Parks Canada interpreters, Athena and Lilli, for stories and a guided walk.
• Live Music. Relax with local talent The Lodgers (David, Tex & Denise)
• Kids’ Crafts. Make your own orca dorsal fin hat
• Ice Cream. Drop by the SIMRES Lab for ice cream ($2 – bring a toonie!) and see the display
• Whale Artifacts. Drop by FAB for real whale bones and stories
• Fly a Kite. Weather permitting, take to the skies!
• Whale Watching. Bring your binoculars and, if we’re lucky, we’ll spot whales

Everyone welcome! Come celebrate the fascinating whales that share our coastal waters.
