THE SALISH SEA
We are located on Saturna Island, BC, in the middle of the Salish Sea. Although we feel remote, we’re within a major transportation corridor, surrounded by a population of 8M people. This is also the habitat of an estimated 37 species of marine mammals, and more than 3400 species of birds, fish and invertebrates.
OUR MISSION
We are a community-based non-profit organization building awareness of marine life and ecosystems in the Salish Sea. We work to promote scientific, evidence-based research and we provide support and facilities for marine research and education on Saturna Island. Learn more
